The first of nine two-car trains, built for the Tren Ligero suburban line, rolled off the assembly line at the factory in the Chinese city of Zhuzhou.

The total cost of the batch is approximately €33 million, and they will be delivered to the operator STE.
According to the provided information, each train can accommodate 483 passengers, with a maximum speed of 80 km/h.
Initially, the Tren Ligero line had a fleet of 16 locally manufactured cars, assembled using components from 1940s PCC trams.
Since the 1990s, they have been replaced by local Concarril trains, later by Bombardier, including two-car TE-90 units with Siemens electronics, based on the German Düwag tram type B.
Currently, a more modern version of this series serves the line.
CRRC is already fulfilling an order for 29 rubber-tired metro trains for Mexico and is participating in a project to create three metro lines in Monterrey, where 26 two-car trains were previously delivered.
