The construction is expected to continue for approximately two years. The 32-kilometer railway line will link the Iraqi network in Basra with the RAI branch in Horramshahr.
A bilateral agreement for the construction of this railway line was signed in 2021 after years of discussions and research involving multiple administrations, ultimately leading to a contract with the corresponding company for its execution.
