Amtrak cancellations Northeast Corridor continued to mount as a major winter storm moved across the Midwest and into the Northeast, bringing further service disruptions tied to equipment or trainset unavailability, as outlined in a Trains.com report.

Amtrak no longer provides a single comprehensive summary on its website. Still, the Amtrak Alerts social media feeds said that, as of 11:30 a.m. CT, the Midwest regional trains it acknowledged as canceled were attributed to equipment or trainset unavailability.

This is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

That list included Lincoln Service Train 300 and Michigan Service train cancellations affecting trains 350, 351, 353, 354, and 355.

Train-status checks on Amtrak’s website also showed additional cancellations on the Northeast Corridor. The railroad cautioned that the list is not intended to be comprehensive and may change, and noted that some cancellations may have appeared in earlier Trains.com coverage.

Keystone Service cancellations from Harrisburg and New York Penn Station

For the Keystone Service, the cancellations shown included trains 664, 674, and 612 departing Harrisburg, along with trains 663, 669, and 671 leaving New York Penn Station.

Acela and Northeast Regional cancellations on the Northeast Corridor

The storm-related disruptions also included multiple Acela cancellations. Departing from Boston, the canceled trains listed were 2271, 2255, 2257, 2259, 2275, and 2295. Departing from Washington, the affected Acelas were trains 2248, 2250, 2252, 2256, 2258, 2222, 2274, 2226, and 2228. Additional cancellations were shown for New York–Washington departures on trains 2205 and 2207, as well as New York–Boston service on trains 2290 and 2292.

Northeast Regionals were also shown as canceled. Departing from Boston, the list included trains 135, 139, 67, and 169. Departing from Washington, cancellations were indicated for trains 160, 119, 154, 140, 132, 122, 156, 166, 158, 104, 100, 128, and 66. For New York departures bound for Washington, the affected trains were 103, 143, 121, 157, 145, 161, and 169.
