CN Western Region production team injury-free for two years has reached a fresh safety milestone. CN said the group hit the mark in February.

CN recognized the achievement on social media, including a post shared by CN on LinkedIn. Also, the milestone was covered by Railway Track & Structures. In addition, the company pointed to the range of crews on the Western Region production team. Those groups include rail and tie gangs, material distribution and scrap pick-up crews, and track welding teams.

Over the two-year period, the team reported installing more than 1,100,000 ties. At the same time, it said it laid more than 3,700,000 feet of rail and completed more than 28,000 welds. CN congratulated the team on this achievement “for proving that productivity and protection go hand in hand, and showing what’s possible when everyone takes ownership.” Separately, the same milestone message also appeared via CNrail on Facebook.
