The tender for the supply of almost 44 thousand tons of rails to UZ for the amount of UAH 1.5 billion was won by Metinvest-SMC.

UZ will purchase rails from Metinvest-SMC for UAH 1.5 billion

The Production Support Center branch of Ukrzaliznytsya JSC intends to conclude a contract for the supply of wide-gauge railroad rails of the R-65 type with a hardened rolling surface of the 1st category (length – 25 m), informs Railway Supply magazine.

Sota-Ukraine LLC also took part in the auction, but the offer of Metinvest-SMC LLC was cheaper. According to the terms of the tender, the company will supply the rails by the end of the year.

As previously reported, Ukrzaliznytsia announced a tender for the purchase of 43,989 tons of rails for the amount of UAH 1.530 billion.
