In December 2022, railcar building enterprises of Ukraine delivered 176 freight cars to their customers. Railway Supply magazine writes about this with reference to Rail.insider.
The structure of the rolling stock by types of cars has not changed much: hoppers account for 61% of sales, another 29% of orders are for platforms and only 10% for gondola cars.
Russian Railways plans to increase the tariff for empty wagons mileage by 51%
At the same time, the lion’s share of the platforms was built by the Panyutinskiy Car Repair Plant branch of Ukrzaliznytsia JSC, which occupies the second position and overtook PJSC Kryukov Carriage Building Plant and Dniprovagonmash JSC.
In December, the Karpaty DMZ became the leader in the sale of rolling stock – it accounts for almost every second wagon sold in Ukraine during this period. It is noteworthy that for the first time in the order portfolio of the enterprise there were no platforms, the plant almost completely focused on the production of grain carriers.
As previously reported, DMZ “Karpaty” produced more than 250 containers and 100 platforms of European size.
