Multimodal Terminal Under New Management

Only RHM submitted a bid and secured a six-year contract, with the option to extend for three more years. The decision followed pressure from cargo owners demanding better performance.

Previously, the terminal handled up to 50,000 TEUs annually. The new operator aims to boost efficiency and logistics reliability through advanced digitalization.

Digital Transformation at the Multimodal Terminal

Under the contract, RHM must implement a Terminal Operating System (TOS). This platform will reduce costs, streamline coordination, and speed up cargo processing operations.

These changes are expected to enhance the terminal’s competitiveness and strengthen its role in international logistics.

The Renfe and Kombiverkehr partnership focuses on digital innovation, working to position Morrot as a key multimodal hub in Southern Europe.
