PUTrain Wins 2023 Railway Challenge

The team of students from Poznań University of Technology, known as PUTrain, has emerged as the winner of the 12th Railway Challenge held in the United Kingdom by the Railway Division of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, according to the railway portal Railway Supply
This annual competition, targeted at engineering students and apprentices in the rail industry, tasks participating teams with designing and constructing a miniature railway locomotive. The locomotive is then subjected to rigorous testing over four days at the Stapleford Miniature Railway near Melton Mowbray, operating on a 261 mm gauge track.
The 2023 edition of the competition, which concluded with track testing from June 22-26, attracted 11 entries from three countries.
