INTERNATIONAL: European locomotive deliveries have added EuroDual, Dragon 2 and Vectron units to freight fleets serving Germany, Poland and the Baltic region through leasing agreements involving three rolling-stock owners.

EuroDual handover begins Neo Lox lease

European Loc Pool has handed over the first of two EuroDual locomotives to Neo Lox, starting a leasing relationship between the Swiss rolling-stock owner and the German freight operator.

In its official handover announcement, ELP highlighted the locomotive’s combination of high electric performance and diesel capability for non-electrified sections. That dual-mode configuration allows an operator to cover electrified routes and last-mile sections with the same locomotive.

The delivery moves the previously arranged two-locomotive lease into operation. ELP has not disclosed a handover date for the second EuroDual.

Dragon 2 enters the KOLTAR fleet

Akiem has supplied another NEWAG Dragon 2 to Grupa Azoty KOLTAR. The E6MST-034 locomotive was received directly from the manufacturer and has now joined the Polish operator’s fleet.

According to KOLTAR’s official account, E6MST-034 is authorised for operation in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The announcement did not provide the lease duration or financial terms.

CARGOUNIT sends Vectrons to two operators

CARGOUNIT has delivered additional Siemens Vectron locomotives to LTE Polska and LTG Cargo following handovers completed in recent weeks.

The lessor’s official delivery update says both operators are new users of its locomotives. CARGOUNIT also confirmed that the Vectrons were purchased through a project co-financed by Poland’s National Recovery Plan.

Neither the operator-by-operator allocation nor the individual locomotive numbers were disclosed. Together, the deliveries place different modern freight-locomotive platforms with operators working across several European markets.
