Board continuity after Erin Flaherty’s reappointment

Flaherty will remain non-executive director and board chair of National Intermodal. She has also been reappointed as a non-executive director of Inland Rail Pty Ltd, with both roles extended for two-year terms.

Her professional background covers more than 40 years in government and the private sector. It includes work across law, rail and major infrastructure projects, which aligns with the responsibilities set out in National Intermodal Corporation’s leadership and governance profile.

Flaherty holds a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney. She is also a non-executive director of New South Wales Police & Citizens Youth Clubs and The Infrastructure Fund.

National Intermodal Corporation and Inland Rail links

At National Intermodal, Flaherty has chaired the board since February 2020. In that role, she has led the board as it advanced the Moorebank Intermodal Precinct and the Beveridge Intermodal Precinct.

Her work with Inland Rail Pty Ltd dates from 2023, when the IRPL Board was established. That appointment has supported strong links between the Inland Rail project and terminal development, a connection also reflected in the official Inland Rail team profile.

The renewed terms are intended to give both entities stability and continuity of leadership at an important point in project delivery. They also maintain a close connection between the National Intermodal and IRPL boards, in line with the governance link outlined when the federal government announced Inland Rail’s new board structure.
