According to Fozil Sharipov, the representative of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari, in 2023-2024 the company will receive four high-speed trains from the Spanish manufacturer Talgo. It is reported by Railway Supply magazine with reference to Podrobno.uz.

During the talks with Talgo, Uzbekistan’s state-owned railway company discussed the procurement of additional high-speed trains and their maintenance in Uzbekistan. The parties also agreed to continue a long-term relationship.

It is noted that eleven-car trains will be able to carry almost 71 thousand passengers per month. The new Talgo trains will run on the Tashkent-Bukhara-Khiva route. Also, the national carrier plans to purchase 34 electric trains and 6 diesel trains.

The republic now uses 6 Afrosiyob (Talgo 250) trains, which were delivered in pairs in 2011, 2017 and 2021. Each train has 286 seats, it includes VIP, business and economy class cars, as well as a Bistro car. On the way, the train accelerates to 230 km/h with a maximum speed of 250 km/h.
