UZ will purchase 100 new passenger cars in 2022
In the next three years, the company plans to renew 500 railcars.
Next year, Ukrzaliznytsia is going to purchase at least 100 new carriages – 30 sleeping cars and 70 sitting ones. This was announced by the head of the company Alexander Kamyshin during the presentation of the new railcars. “Next year, we plan to purchase at least 100 new cars – 30 will be sleeping and 70 will be seated,” he said.
This contract stipulated that the company will receive 10 cars at the end of December this year, and the rest in 2022. But the plant met the wishes of UZ and passengers and delivered 20 cars this year.
Therefore, we are going ahead of schedule,” said the head of Ukrzaliznytsia. According to him, the company plans to renew 500 railcars in the next three years. In general, the number of railcars requiring renewal reaches 1,500. Kamyshin also added that this year Ukrzaliznytsia purchased five diesel trains.
“Three of them have already gone on the routes: “ Izmail – Odessa ”, “ Popasna – Kharkіv – Vorozhba – Kharkіv ” and “ Tatarov – Lvіv ”.
