UWC signs a contract for the manufacture of 1000 fitting platforms

During 2021 PJSC “Research and Production Corporation “United Wagon Company” (UWC) will send 1000 innovative platform wagons to the fleet of the container operator Trans Synergy LLC for the transportation of large-tonnage containers. This was reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply citing a press release from UWC.

The delivery of rolling stock will take place within the framework of the signed trilateral contract between the UWC holding, the State Transport Leasing Company (STLK) and Trans Synergy. This is the second deal between the companies: 360 similar platforms were sent to the operator last year.

A feature of the 13-6903 flatcar is an increased payload of 74.5 tonnes with a loading length of 80 feet. The platform can transport containers, including refrigerated containers, and tank containers of various standard sizes with a gross weight of up to 36 tons.

The platform is equipped with bogies with an axle load of 25 tf. Service life – 32 years, overhaul life – 8 years (or up to 1 million km).
