Ukrzaliznytsia transported 37 thousand containers in January

At the end of January 2021, more than 37 thousand containers in conventional units (TEU) were transported by the Ukrainian railways. 16 thousand TEU were in the composition of container trains, informs Railway Supply magazine with reference to the press center of Ukrzaliznytsia.

In January, 31 container trains transited through the territory of Ukraine, two trains arrived at the Kiev-Liski station from China.

As previously reported, Ukrzaliznytsia is expanding the geography of international container transportation and is negotiating the signing of a number of agreements on container transportation. At the end of November 2020, Ukrzaliznytsia and DHL Global Forwarding agreed to develop container rail transportation from China to Europe and planned to introduce new international routes.
