Ukrzaliznytsia plans to attract UAH 500 million from the sale of non-core assets by the end of 2022.
According to acting chairman of UZ board Alexander Kamyshin, the company will start with small steps, informs Railway Supply magazine with reference to Interfax-Ukraine. More than 400 properties for sale have now been approved.
Most of the objects prepared for privatization are old buildings that the company does not need, but there is land under them that is of interest to developers.
The funds received should be invested in infrastructure, track facilities and locomotives. Kamyshin also noted that there are large objects in Ukrzaliznytsia that the company should sell.
As a reminder, on September 15, Ukrzaliznytsia put up for sale three non-core assets for almost UAH 4 million in the ProZorro.Sales system
