In particular, they are talking about the operator of container platforms – the branch “Center of Transport Service Liski”. This opinion was announced by the head of the UZ Alexander Kamyshin during the conference “Reform of state-owned companies as an impetus to the development of competitive markets” in Kyiv on Tuesday.

Over the next three years, Ukrzaliznytsia will be unprofitable

This is reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.

Alexander Kamyshin noted that Ukrzaliznytsia owns large objects that the company should sell. “For example, a large operator of container platforms. These are container terminals all over the country.

Today it is practically a monopoly in the field of container railway platforms. And this company today is in a state similar to that of Ukrposhta many years ago, when you are the largest player and only small players appear nearby. In my opinion, if we would not able to sell this company in time or to let a large private investor into it, then this company will go the way of Ukrposhta.

When private business appears nearby, it will become stronger and more efficient over the years, so we are losing this war,” the head of UZ stressed. He noted that it is better to sell such assets when they have a monopoly position in the market, and not wait until the last moment when private business wins, because the asset would significantly lose value.

As previously reported, by the end of the year, Ukrzaliznytsia plans to receive UAH 500 million from the sale of non-core assets.
