Mireo Smart has 214 seated places for passengers, with 21 spaces for bicycles in the cabin.
The maximum speed is stated at 160 km/h, with acceleration up to 0.96 m/s².
The train is equipped with passenger information and safety control systems, as well as displays in boarding areas.
In the spring, it was reported that the first 6 trains of this type were assembled for alternating current lines with a voltage of 15 kV. Information about the customer for Mireo Smart trains was not available.
The train project itself was announced by Siemens in November 2020.
The German manufacturer emphasized that it would have an ‘attractive’ price, making it a viable alternative to overhauls, with low maintenance costs and operational compatibility with Mireo and Desiro HC platform trains.
