The Russian Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport (Rosmorrechflot) stops the publication of statistics on the cargo turnover of the seaports of the aggressor country.

Cargo exports statistics

This is reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply.

Rosmorrechflot traditionally disclosed data on port cargo turnover in the middle of the second week of the month following the reporting one. In April, statistics were not released at this time.

“The temporary suspension of the publication of statistics on the cargo turnover of the seaports of the Russian Federation on the website of Rosmorrechflot aims to reduce the additional potential risks that, under current conditions, the publication of such information carries for the industry community,” the agency responded to a request from the publication.

As a result of the sanctions, which are constantly increasing due to the military invasion of Ukraine, the Russian authorities have sharply narrowed the range of officially published statistical data in recent weeks.

In particular, it suspended the disclosure of statistics on oil production and export for an indefinite period. The Federal Customs Service closed data on imports and exports under the pretext of avoiding “incorrect estimates and speculation.”

At the same time, Central Bank “temporarily suspended” the publication of monthly information on the foreign trade of the Russian Federation.
