“By ordering new trains, we are fulfilling our contractual obligations to the regions that have signed long-term contracts with us. At the same time, we are engaged in the natural renewal of vehicles. Many of them cannot use the European ETCS system, they do not meet the current requirements for travel comfort and cannot fully work on the modernized lines, ” explains Ivan Bednarik, CEO of ČD.

In the coming years, RegioPanter trains will travel to all regions of the Czech Republic. Modern, environmentally friendly and comfortable trains operate not only on the railway lines of the Czech Republic, but also, for example, in Slovakia, and soon in Latvia. Due to new contracts at the Plzen and Ostrava factories, Škoda Transportation Group is investing hundreds of millions of dollars in expansion and innovation of production, hiring more and more employees.
