Railroad bears move to Holland
On October 27, two bears, Lyalya and Malysh, from the zoo of the Zaporizhya Children Railway will go to the zoo in the city of Rhenen in Holland.
This was announced by the director of the non-governmental foundation “Bears in the Heart” Ingrid Vermelin, reports the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to urm.media.
Lala and Malysh will now live in the private zoo Ouwehand together with seven other bears.
“This is an area of two hectares of forest, with a waterfall, large dens, all the amenities for bears. There they will hibernate, and it will all be like in nature. Bears are a separate project of this park. The park will take care of them constantly at a very high level, ”- Ingrid Vermelin.
Let us remind you that there were two bears on the balance sheet of the Zaporizhya Children Railway. It was originally planned that the railway would transfer the animals to the Dutch Ouwehand Zoo (Rhenen, the Netherlands).
