According to the grant agreement concerning works, 128.2 million euros have been allocated to construction activities, such as phase two of Riga Central Station railway section, phase two of Riga Airport railway section, phase two of Ulemiste Passenger Terminal, access to Muuga freight terminal, and part of track construction works in Lithuania on section from Kaunas to the Lithuanian-Latvian state border.

EU financing will be used to plan and design for local facilities and regional stations and stops on the route of Rail Baltica to ensure that the new line creates additional benefits by facilitating regional rail transport services between the regions of the Baltic States.
