Port workers of MTP “Yuzhny” set another record despite frost

As of January 22, the cargo turnover of SE “MTP Yuzhny” is 793.1 thousand tons, which exceeds the indicators of the record last year (+14.3 thousand tons). The main cargoes are ore, coal, cast iron, bentonite clay. The staff of the state stevedore shows a consistently high result of cargo transshipment despite the frost, informs Railway Supply magazine with reference to the port’s website.

The launch of five defrosting devices and effective cooperation with JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” ensured an uninterrupted process of handling open wagons. Since the beginning of the year, their number has exceeded 11 thousand units.

There are also plans to develop the infrastructure of the enterprise and upgrade the handling equipment.
