As a result of Russian aggression against Ukraine, thousands of refugees arrive in Poland every day.

фонд PKP Group Foundation

Those who remained in their country courageously and selflessly defend their homeland from the aggressor, reports Railway Supply magazine, citing nakolei.

These people are helped by the PKP Group Foundation, which launched a charity fundraiser for the victims of the war in Ukraine.

Some take only what they can take with them, the most important thing is to get as far as possible from falling bombs and shots.

Most often it is the elderly, as well as women with children. With fear and uncertainty leaving the past in their lives, they go to Poland, hoping that here they will find help and protection from the catastrophe taking place in their country.

Here they are waiting for people with big hearts, ready to alleviate their suffering a little. Other Ukrainians decided to stay in their homeland in order to resolutely, persistently and stubbornly defend what is connected with their history, culture and traditions!

Katarzyna Kucharek, Chairman of the Board of the PKP Group Foundation, emphasizes that, like many other institutions and organizations, the Foundation could not remain indifferent to the suffering of innocent people.

“Charitable and philanthropic sphere is one of the main areas of our activity. We help where a person needs it. War is the greatest misfortune. As a result, thousands of people are losing what they have worked for all their lives. Therefore, when we have the opportunity, we help our Ukrainian neighbors. Among the people arriving in Poland, as well as those who are on the other side of the border, there are many children, and it is they who most of all feel the consequences of the armed aggression. I believe that the fundraising campaign we have launched will be a valuable support for the victims of the ongoing war,” adds Katarzyna Kuczarek.

If you want to join the fundraising campaign, please make a payment to the account number: 92 1320 0019 1649 3010 2000 0005. The name of the transfer should indicate: donation for statutory purposes – assistance for Ukraine.
