PKP CARGO SA received new flat wagons

At the end of April, PKP CARGO SA received 44 wagons of the Sggrs platform – this is the first batch of railway platforms purchased under a contract concluded with the consortium of companies Wagony Świdnica Sp. z o. o. and ASTRA RAIL Industries SA (from the Greenbrier group). All carriages are due to be delivered this year and next.

In total, within the framework of the agreement, PKP CARGO SA’s rolling stock will be replenished with 220 flatcars of the new Sggrs series. The company purchased flat wagons within the framework of the POIS.03.02.00-00-0045 / 18 project “Multi-system locomotives and wagons for intermodal transport”, reports railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to Nakolei Pl.

The procurement of wagons is covered by co-financing from EU funds (Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment 2014-2020. Under Measure 3.2, Priority Axis III) in the amount of 50%.

One of the first diesel locomotives manufactured by Fablok has been restored

Under the same program, PKP CARGO will purchase five multi-system locomotives, which will be delivered in 2022. The total cost of the project “Multisystem locomotives and wagons for intermodal transport” is over PLN 243 million, and EU funding will amount to over PLN 92 million.
