PKP Cargo plans to increase the volume of food transportation to Ukrainian ports
Polish PKP Cargo Connect announced that it will increase its activity on the Polish food export market.
To increase the transportation of export goods, the company is in dialogue with the Ukrainian side. In particular, the company intends to increase the volume of containerized potatoes, informs Railway Supply magazine.
PKP Cargo is interested in the ports of Koper, Trieste and Odessa, from where cargo can be sent to Africa and Asia.
There is also a demand for rail transportation through Ukraine to Azerbaijan and the countries of the Caspian Sea. In June, PKP Cargo representatives stated that the company was interested in the Odessa-Gdansk intermodal corridor. After all, the Polish side has high hopes for the creation of an intermodal corridor between the Baltic Sea and the Black Sea.
