Pesa has won a contract for PLN 514 million for the supply of 33 double-decker trains to the Czech national operator ČD in 2024-2026 for use on regional routes in the Hradec Králové region.

This is reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to Pesa.

The contract signed on December 17 is the second in framework contract signed on February 26, which covers up to 160 units with a total value of 2.5 billion zlotys and increases the order volume to 66 units worth 1 billion zlotys.

 “We will use modern trains that meet all the requirements for comfortable travel in the regions,” said Ivan Bednarik, Chairman and CEO of ČD.

DMU with a speed of 120 km/h from the Pesa Link family, known in the Czech Republic as RegioShark, will have an ETCS system, a spacious interior with 115 seats in two classes, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, charging sockets, spaces for wheelchair users.
