Performance tests of the first modernized diesel locomotive TEM14M

Operational tests of the first modernized diesel locomotive TEM14M are planned to begin on the territory of the port of Ust-Luga, located in the Leningrad region, reports Railway Supply magazine with reference toна Rzd.Partner.

“Sinara – Transport Machines” holding together with “Port Ust-Luga Transport Company” JSC (“PUL trans”) concluded an agreement on performance tests of TEM14M. The parties agreed that during 2021 the PUL trans operator will test the locomotive at maximum capacities and maximum loads. TEM14M will be used in handling various types of cargo arriving at the port of Ust-Luga.

TEM14M is a new generation of powerful shunting diesel locomotives based on TEM14 locomotives.

  • Shunting work with trains over 6000 tons.
  • It is equipped with a DG900T diesel generator with a new generation 6DM-185T engines.
