Operail became a partner of Oiltanking in Finland

The Estonian transport company Operail has started cooperation with Oiltanking Finland, one of the largest operators of tank terminals for oil fuels, gases and chemicals. The companies have agreed to transport liquid fuel along the Vainikkala-Kotka route reports Railway Supply magazine with reference to Operail.

The estimated annual volume of freight traffic on the new route exceeds 1 million tons. The terminals of Oiltanking Finland, a subsidiary of a large German holding, are located in Kotka and Hamina. They serve as an important hub for the transportation of chemicals from Russia as they are located close to the border.

Operail started its operations in Finland in November last year.
