New dual-system electric trains from Škoda Vagonka
New dual-system electric trains from Škoda Vagonka AS will be delivered to Elron (Estonian state-owned company, operator of commuter trains in Tallinn and Harju County, as well as diesel trains running throughout Estonia), as railway magazine «Railway Supply» reports referring Eesti Liinirongid AS website.

RWS Market: On-site locomotive repair service
Under the contract Elron will receive six dual-system electric trains with the possibility of ordering ten more similar ones in the future. Škoda Vagonka’s competitor was Stadler, the current train manufacturer for Elron.
The bids were evaluated according to 11 different criteria. They included a comparison of train costs, parameters, energy consumption, maintenance costs, capacity and speed characteristics. Škoda’s offer turned out to be the best in terms of both price and operating costs.
In shunting and passenger traffic drivers will drive trains without an assistant
