Automated railcar control systems have recently been installed in Almendingen near Bern in Switzerland and near Lipnik nad Beczvou in the Czech Republic, reports Railway Supply magazine, citing the Railway Gazette.

The equipment scans freight cars from both sides as they enter or leave the Chemelot factories in Zuid-Limburg.
