The modernization of the 13-kilometer section of the Zapresic – Zagreb West Kolodvor railway line of the Zagreb – Slovenia corridor should begin in early 2021, reports Railway Supply magazine referring to Railway Gazette.

The modernization will begin after the completion of December works on the 6.5 km railway section between Savski Marof and Zapresic, where the maximum speed has been increased from 60 to 120 km/h. Within the framework of this project, the stations in Savski Marof, Brdovec and Zapresic-Savska were repaired. The total cost of the project is 365.7 million kuna, and it is co-financed by a loan from the World Bank.
