MIU proposes to allocate UAH 9.7 billion for the development of railway passenger transportation in 2022

The Ministry of Infrastructure has submitted proposals for changes to the budget of Ukraine for 2022.

Thus, the MIU proposes to allocate UAH 9.7 billion for the renewal of rolling stock and the modernization of railway infrastructure for the safety of passenger traffic, the railway magazine Railway Supply reports.
It is planned to take another 350 million UAH for these purposes from a special fund.
The MIU also proposes to allocate 0.5% of the road fund for the renewal of rolling stock. In addition, it is planned to send UAH 900 million of compensation to UZ for the travel of beneficiaries.
The Ministry of Infrastructure proposes to provide in the budget of Ukraine for 2022 132.4 million euros for the advance payment for the supply of Alstom locomotives.
