The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine announced plans to build a railway from Poland to Truskavets.

On October 22, Warsaw hosted the first bilateral meeting of the head of the MIU Alexander Kubrakov and the Minister of Infrastructure of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Adamczyk.

The focus is on solving the problem of permits for the implementation of international road freight transport, as well as specific projects for the development of passenger and freight transport between Ukraine and Poland, reports Railway Supply magazine with reference to the press service of the department.

The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine has published a draft order on the procedure for extending the service life of freight cars

“We are currently working on a number of projects aimed at improving logistics and transport conditions for carriers and passengers in Ukraine. In particular, we are talking about new tracks at the borders, the establishment of railway communication, as well as the modernization of checkpoints,” said the head of the MIU Alexander Kubrakov. We are talking about such projects in the railway industry:

  • the beginning of the construction of the railway from Poland to Truskavets (in particular, the restoration of the railway track on the territory of Ukraine in the connection Malchowice-Nizhankovichi);
  • the launch of a high-speed railway connection Kyiv-Warsaw (now the project is at the stage of pre-feasibility study).
