LDz signed contracts for the modernization of 48 railway stations

Latvian Railway LDz has signed agreements with two contractors for the design and construction of 48 railway stations.
As part of the BMGS – FIMA partnership, the railway company signed a contract for the design and construction of facilities on five railway lines, similar work will be carried out on the Zemitany – Skulte Zemitani – Vecani railway line.
The project will include the modernization of passenger infrastructure at railway stations, reports Railway Supply, citing LDz.

The total project costs are planned at 44.4 million euros, 85 percent will be co-financed from the EU Cohesion Fund, and the remaining 15 percent will be paid by LDz from its own sources.
Work will begin this year and is expected to be completed in 2023.
