Construction of a new rolling stock service center
RegioJet wants to build a new rolling stock service center in Prague. A Czech private railway operator wants to build a new rolling stock service station in Prague. RegioJet is awaiting permission from the city to start construction.
This is the site of the existing siding in Dolní Mecholupy, part of Prague in the Prague 10 area. The new RegioJet facility will be built on 6 hectares of land, with an area of 12,250 m² of halls and outbuildings. It is assumed that 8 trains will be served daily, 4 of which – during the day, and 4 – at night.
There are also plans to build a residential part where the carrier employees could spend the night. It is planned that the center will employ up to 230 people, it is also planned to build a washing and paint shop for trains.
