CARGOUNIT, the largest Polish locomotive rental company in Central and Eastern Europe, has officially received the first of three Traxx locomotives ordered from Alstom, the world leader in smart and sustainable mobility.

It was immediately leased out to longtime customer, CIECH Cargo, under a new 5-year lease for the 3 newest Traxx 3 DC locomotives, informs Railway Supply magazine citing Nakolei Pl.

The Traxx locomotive platform has been recognized by rail carriers in Europe and Poland for its reliability and low operating costs. Currently, the CARGOUNIT fleet includes 3 Traxx MS2 locomotives, which have received high marks from railway operators.

CARGOUNIT and CIECH Cargo signed a 5-year lease agreement for 3 Traxx DC3 locomotives as part of the process of replacing used locomotives with new ones. CIECH Cargo has been a CARGOUNIT customer since 2003, the two companies have been cooperating for almost two decades, both in the rental of electric and diesel locomotives.
