Belarusian Railway: New version of the automated system “Electronic Transportation”

Belarusian Railways develops mobile digital rail freight tools. To solve the problems of digital transformation and transfer of participants in the logistics process to paperless technologies, on April 7, 2021, a new version of the automated system for electronic registration and tracking of railway cargo transportation using an electronic digital signature (AS “Electronic Transportation”) for mobile devices was put into operation. The new mobile version of the AS “Electronic Transportation” has expanded functionality. The main operations associated with the implementation of cryptographic and registration functions are automated, with access to them via QR codes.

Cargo transportation has increased in Belarus since the beginning of the year

To connect to the AS “Electronic Transportation” server, the application uses the TLS transport layer security protocol with mandatory authentication of the parties based on public key certificates. The legal significance of the documents created by the application is confirmed by an electronic digital signature based on the national algorithms of the Republic of Belarus.
