On December 30, national operator China Railway launched 350 km/h passenger service on the 173-kilometer route between Beijing and Tangshan after the completion of 149 km of the new line. Railway Supply writes about this with reference to the Railway Gazette.
The faster route has brought end-to-end journey times down to 60 min, even though trains are limited to 200 km/h on the initial 72 km section from Beijing to Xianghe. The route serves eight stations.
