Alstom has won the largest contract in its history in Germany
The federal state of Baden-Württemberg is purchasing 130 high-capacity four-car double-decker Coradia Stream trains for €2.5 billion.
It is reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to Alstom.
The contract includes maintenance of equipment for 30 years. Maximum speed – 200 km / h, capacity – 380 seats.
The start of operation is scheduled for 2025. Also, in addition to the specified deliveries, an option for another 100 trains may be realized.
Alstom notes that it has received orders for more than 730 trains of the Coradia Stream series in Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark and Spain.
