Leasing company Alpha Trains has ordered 15 more Vectron MS electric locomotives from Siemens Mobility, informs Railway Supply magazine citing the Railway Gazette.

The latest order, announced on September 22, was placed under a November 2021 framework agreement for 6.4 MW 200 km/h locomotives.

This will increase the Alpha Trains fleet to 463 locomotives from various manufacturers, including more than 65 Vectrons.

“Vectron’s robust platform, combined with our attractive leasing offerings, allows our customers to operate flexible and reliable transportation,” said Fernando Pérez, Managing Director of Alpha Trains Locomotives.
