The topic was the prospects for the implementation of projects for the construction of the power transmission line “Surkhan – Puli-Khumri” and the railway along the route “Mazar-i-Sharif – Kabul – Peshawar”.

High-speed railway may be built between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan

The delegation of Uzbekistan was headed by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov. The Afghan side is represented by acting Prime Minister Abdul-Salam Hanafi.

In 2024 a tourist railway route will appear, which will connect Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
