PKP Intercity has announced a tender for the supply of hybrid locomotives (diesel electric locomotives) with their services.

This is reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to PKP Intercity.

The subject of the contract is the supply of 16 hybrid locomotives (diesel electric locomotives) with the provision of maintenance services up to the P4 level.

The procedure is carried out in the form of an open competition. The contractor will be selected based on the criteria of price (75% points) and quality (technical readiness, reliability of rolling stock and warranty period).

The contract is valid for 108 months, including maintenance. The exact specification of the contract will be published shortly. The deadline for applications is February 15th.
