Six major routes have been identified, each designed to enhance logistics and facilitate transport. These include Pak Nam Pho-Den Chai (281 km, $81.14 billion) and Chira Junction-Ubon Ratchathani (308 km, $44.1 billion). Other routes include Hat Yai-Padang Besar (45 km, $7.9 billion) and Chumphon-Surat Thani (168 km, $30.42 billion). Surat Thani-Hat Yai-Songkhla (321 km, $66.27 billion) and Den Chai-Chiang Mai (189 km, $68.22 billion) complete the list.

The Budget Bureau has already approved the projects, with reviews by the Finance Ministry and NESDC set to conclude this month. Cabinet approval is anticipated by January, according to Minister Suriya Jungrungreangkit. The ministry is expediting these processes to ensure swift implementation.

In the northeastern region, the Khon Kaen-Nong Khai double-track railway is progressing as planned. The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) signed a $28.7 billion contract with CHO Thavee-AS Construction. The project involves constructing a 167-kilometer track parallel to the existing one, featuring 14 stations and three freight terminals. Completion is targeted for 2028.
