The train operates using electromagnetic levitation technology. It is designed to operate at an automation level of GoA3, where a driver is present in the train only for emergency situations.

The train is currently awaiting the completion of a test track in northern China, where it is planned to reach speeds of up to 660 km/h.

Meanwhile, China is also exploring various other design solutions for high-speed maglev rolling stock.
