China is launching a portal for participants in the China Europe Express railway route, as reported by the railway portal Railway Supply.

China Europe Express

Chinese Railways has introduced an online portal for participants in the China Europe Express transportation service.

UZ Plans to Acquire Passenger Wagons

The portal provides statistical information about shipments handled by China Europe Express trains.

On this digital platform, users can book containers for shipping along existing routes.

The portal was originally scheduled to be launched in December 2022, but due to COVID-19 restrictions, the opening had to be postponed.

The portal offers information about all China Europe Express routes, delivery timelines for each route, updates on train schedules, and other useful notifications.

The internet portal is available in Chinese, Russian, and English languages.

The launch of this China Railways platform is seen as a significant step in digitizing the organization of transportation.

For instance, by utilizing Internet of Things (IoT) technology, customers can track containers and monitor the status of their cargo in transit, as well as use electronic locking and sealing devices.

Currently, Chinese shippers primarily benefit from this service, as all orders for container shipments are processed through Chinese partners.

However, in the long term, this portal has the potential to become an important tool for business communication for European companies.
