The agreement covers 746 employees. Meanwhile, wage increases total 17.5% over five years. That equals 18.8% on a compounded basis. In addition, retroactive pay begins July 1, 2025. It also includes accelerated enhancements in vacation and preserved health care benefits.

Separately, BNSF President and Chief Executive Officer Katie Farmer commented on the result. “The ratification of this agreement is a clear reflection of the strength of our partnership with TCU’s intermodal team members,” said BNSF President and Chief Executive Officer Katie Farmer. “Their confidence in this path forward energizes our efforts to keep raising the bar on our shared purpose of safety and service.”
At the same time, TCU national representative Charles Soukep pointed to support behind the vote. “The overwhelming support for this agreement is a testament to the hard work and preparation of our bargaining committee,” said Charles Soukep, TCU national representative.
How the deal fits the national pattern?
BNSF said the contract follows the same terms as the current national pattern. For example, Previous Railway Supply coverage tracked the tentative stage of the same five-year agreement. Still, more than ninety-five percent of BNSF’s workforce is currently covered by ratified agreements.
