Amtrak “Trak Suits” Launch With NextGen Acela Rollout

Amtrak “Trak Suits” are the company’s latest piece of Acela-branded swag, timed to celebrate the launch of its NextGen Acela fleet.

The limited drop was announced on Thursday, Jan. 29, as outlined in the Amtrak newsroom announcement, while the newest trains begin making select high-speed trips between Washington, D.C., New York, and Boston.

The tracksuit was designed by New York School of Design student Anastasiia Lukinskaia, who beat out fellow students after presenting designs at New York Fashion Week, as reported by People. Amtrak said the winning look was developed with the NextGen Acela’s “premium comfort, modern design, and elevated experience” in mind.

What’s included in the Amtrak “Trak Suits” tracksuit?
The set costs $279 and is available to order now through Monday, Feb. 2, with the details listed on the Amtrak “Trak Suits” page. It includes a blue-and-white zip-up hoodie and matching sweatpants. The hoodie has an Amtrak logo on the zipper pull, and both the micro-fiber fleece poly fabric top and pants feature Amtrak logos stitched onto the material. A detachable sleep mask completes the “Trak Suit” package.

In a press release, Jessica Davidson, Amtrak Vice President of Digital & Brand Management, said the response from fans was strong when the “Trak Suits” collection was shown during fashion week in New York. She added that Amtrak is excited to offer the winning look as part of this limited release.
Davidson also said the design blends Amtrak’s heritage with today’s innovation, aligning with the premium, modern style that NextGen Acela represents.
