Alstom Naples hub opens in Naples to support rail projects
05.02.2026
Alstom Naples hub has opened in Naples as the company advances regional railway infrastructure modernization in Campania and continues year-round recruitment.

The new site, in the Centro Direzionale business district, is designed for around 50 workstations and is intended to make day-to-day collaboration across project teams easier.
Why the Alstom Naples hub was set up in Naples?
Alstom frames the hub as part of its growth and consolidation in Italy and the regions where it operates. The company also ties it to employee well-being—reducing travel between offices, encouraging flexible working practices, and supporting the development of local talent and skills.

Projects supported by the Alstom Naples hub
From an operational standpoint, the hub will support ongoing regional mobility projects, including the A168 EAV project. That programme covers the installation of an advanced signalling system based on ACCM1 and ERTMS solutions on the Vesuvian lines over a length of more than 140 km, as described by RailwayPro. It also includes upgrades to substations and electric traction.
Alstom also references ERTMS AQ2 systems, which include the implementation of signalling and telecommunications systems, along with related upgrades to civil and electrical infrastructure.
“With the opening of the Naples hub, we are strengthening our presence in a key region for Italian rail mobility,” said Marco De Rosa, HR Director at Alstom Italy. He added that the company has created a modern and flexible working environment close to projects that are transforming mobility in the country, supporting collaboration, innovation and employee well-being, in line with the Group’s values and its commitment to attracting and developing new talent in the regions where it operates.
Job openings and local partnerships in Naples
At the same time, Alstom says it is looking to strengthen local expertise by recruiting professionals throughout the year. The roles highlighted include engineers in electrical, electronics, telecommunications, cybersecurity and systems, as well as maintenance technicians and troubleshooting specialists.
To support this growth, Alstom says partnerships continue with ITS Maddaloni and the Universities of Naples “Federico II” and “Parthenope” through internship programmes and training courses dedicated to young talent, focused on future mobility challenges.
Alstom currently employs more than 270 professionals in Campania. Staff are based at the Nola (NA) site, dedicated to maintaining Italo’s rolling stock for NTV, as well as the Naples Campi Flegrei and Naples Gianturco depots, which specialise in maintaining regional trains and signalling systems.
The company is also active across multiple construction sites involved in deploying new signalling technologies and carrying out infrastructure works.
