The Port Authority of Huelva (Spain) has awarded a contract worth 5.8 million euros to Comsa for the implementation of a complex project to expand the railway network of gauge 1668 mm in the port complex of El Musel to the northern wharf. This information is reported by the railway portal Railway Supply, citing Railway Gazette.

The extension, spanning 2.9 km, is intended to cross roads and existing railway lines from Sotuello and Abono, and pass under various conveyor belts.

The first 1.5 km will be laid with a slab track, while the remainder will be ballasted.

The project was prepared by the company Noega Ingenieros.
