The Chinese aerospace corporation CASIC has conducted the first tests of a full-sized maglev capsule that moves in a pipeline with rarefied air. During the tests, the capsule developed a speed of up to 50 km/h on a 210 m long section in Datong (Shanxi Province). Railway Supply writes about this with reference to the zdmira.

Hyperloop

According to CASIC, during the tests, all key components of the system, including superconducting magnets, traction power supply and artificial intelligence-based traffic control, sensors and radio communication devices, worked out properly during the tests. This allows to start testing the system at a higher speed.

Grain transportation by rail continues

An agreement to create a bullet train that can travel at speeds of 1,000 km/h or more using Hyperloop technology was signed in 2018 between CASIC Corporation and the Chinese automaker Geely.
